National Students Union of India NSUI bags 5 of 8 Gujarat University senate seats
Results for the recently held senate elections at Gujarat University were announced on Tuesday. Of the eight Ray Bans seats on which the polls were conducted, five were won by candidates from National Students Union of India (NSUI).
The election was conducted at the varsity on Sunday. Candidates of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won on three Ray Bans seats while a student of the medical faculty who won as an independent candidate joined ABVP on Tuesday.
While both NSUI and ABVP claimed that the student of medical faculty, Ronak Patel, is supporting them, Patel told mediapersons that he had joined ABVP. With this, ABVP tally reached four seats.
The five seats which went in favour of NSUI candidates include undergraduate Arts seat by Siddhrajsinh Chauhan, PG Commerce faculty seat by Hasmukh Chaudhary, PG Science seat by Pravin Vanol, Bachelor of Education seat by Vikram Solanki and faculty of law seat by Anik Timbaliya.
ABVP successful candidates include Brijrajsinh Chavda from PG arts, Jimit Shah from UG commerce and Nidhi Dave from UG science faculty.
and ABVP have tried to beat NSUI in all ways. Ray Bans But NSUI has won because it fought for students issues. This shows that while CM Narend Ray Bans ra Modi may go to Delhi to interact with students but students in Gujarat are with NSUI and Congress, said president, NSUI Gulabsinh Rajput in a release.
